Answers to the most important questions about engravings, embossing dies, order processing and more.
General Information on Engraving Technology
01
What is the difference between an engraved and an etched embossing die?
Engraved embossing die:
• Very durable, even for high production volumes
• Ideal for fine details, lettering and logos
• Consistent embossing results
• More time-consuming to manufacture and therefore somewhat more expensive
• Subsequent changes to the design are comparatively complex
Etched embossing die:
• Faster to manufacture and therefore more cost-effective
• Shorter service life
• Less suitable for very fine details or high embossing pressures

What materials can be engraved?
We process, among others:
• Metals (brass, aluminium, stainless steel)
• Plastics
• Wood
• Graphite and copper (e.g. EDM electrodes)
